Patents 5,978,776, and 6,920,433 owned by VNS relate to a "vehicular data exchange system" in which an individual may input "vehicular characteristics data units" (such as make, model, and year of a car) into a computer terminal, and transmit them to a number of other individuals. In response, a recipient enters "vehicular financial data units" (such as a price quote, or buy bid), which is transmitted back to the individual that initiated the communication.
